Customer:
Reliance Industries Ltd. — Jio Data Centres - Navi Mumbai
Project Category:
Data Centre & IT Infrastructure — Server Hall Humidity Control
Customer Requirement:
The IDC campus needed a tightly held relative humidity band across server halls, UPS and battery rooms, cable galleries and network operation areas. Uncontrolled humidity in a facility of this scale risks electrostatic discharge on sensitive boards at the low end, and condensation, contact corrosion and accelerated hardware failure at the high end. The client also needed capacity right-sized zone by zone rather than a single blanket unit type, and a rollout that would not disrupt live operations.
Project Result:
Successfully Completed & Commissioned — 250 units supplied, installed and handed over across the Navi Mumbai IDC campus
What we did:
• Carried out a zone-by-zone load survey across server halls, UPS/battery rooms, cable galleries and NOC areas to establish moisture load and air change requirements • Specified a two-model mix — 30 L/day and 50 L/day White Westinghouse units — so each zone received matched capacity instead of blanket over-specification • Supplied and assembled 250 units on site, phased so that no live area was taken out of service beyond its agreed window • Commissioned every unit with on-site performance testing and verified humidity hold against the target band • Trained the client's facility team on daily operation, drainage routines and filter maintenance schedules
Project Description
Jet India executed one of its largest single-site deployments to date at the Reliance Jio Data Centre (IDC) unit in Navi Mumbai. A total of 250 White Westinghouse dehumidification units in the 30 L/day and 50 L/day capacity classes were supplied and assembled on site, distributed across server halls, UPS and battery rooms, cable galleries and network operation areas. Data centres demand a tightly held relative humidity band — too low invites electrostatic discharge across sensitive boards, too high risks condensation, corrosion of contacts and accelerated hardware failure. The two-model mix allowed the site team to right-size capacity room by room rather than over-specify a single unit type, keeping running costs and floor footprint down. All units were commissioned with on-site testing and the client's facility team was trained on operation and filter maintenance schedules.
